Abstracts should briefly outline the main research issues, research method, results and conclusions as well as their general significance. References might be added. Upon review of the abstracts, notification of acceptance will be made by February 20th, 2023
A more detailed description about the abstract submission process will be added soon. The portal for submitting the abstract will open in November 2022.

There is no limitation in the number of abstracts submitted per author; however, a maximum of two platform presentations (oral and poster) by the same speaker will be accepted.
After peer review of the abstract, notification of acceptance will be received on February 20th, 2023, along with an invitation to submit a draft full paper of 6-8 pages or a technical note of 2-4 pages.

Steps to submit an abstract

1. Create an account on the platform by clicking here
2. Login on the created account and click on "Submit Abstract(s)" under the "Submissions" block
3. Follow the steps to complete the submission.

Template
Draft papers must not be longer than 8 pages including graphs, tables and figures, whilst the limit is set to 4 pages for technical notes. A Word template is provided for convenience. This template is already set with the correct page size, fonts, line spacing and margins, as required by the ORC2023 proceedings.

• DO NOT modify the template (line spacing, margins etc)
• Please convert/save your ORC2023 abstract to a PDF file.
• DO NOT password protect your file.
• Make sure the filename has only one extension (“.pdf”)

Review
All review reports for the Draft Papers will be sent no later than Friday, May 19th, 2023. In case you have not received any message by that date, please check your junk mail and, if necessary, contact info@orc-conference.org.

Steps to submit the draft paper

1. Login into your account (user who submitted the initial abstract) in the ORC2023 website and click on "Submit Draft paper(s)” under the "Submissions" menu
2. Follow the steps to complete the submission of the PDF file.

Template
The final papers must not be longer than 10 pages including graphs, tables and figures, in order to address the reviewers’ comments adequately. The other requirements and rules for the formatting of draft papers apply to final papers

Template
Authors not wishing to write a full paper can present their work as a poster. Draft Posters must be accompanied by an extended abstract (2-4 pages), which will be published in the conference proceedings. The same Word template available for draft papers must be used, with the only exception of number of pages which is now limited to 4. Posters must be in portrait format.
The deadline for this submission is the same as for draft papers (Sunday, April 16th, 2023). After peer review of Draft Poster and extended abstract, review reports will be sent no later than Friday, May 19th, 2023.

The Prof. Gianfranco Angelino Best Poster Award (€ 2000,-) will honour the merit of work conducted within the scope of research and development on ORC Power Systems technology. The scientific committee will select the recipient of the Award based on the examination of the posters displayed during the poster session(s) and upon discussions with the author/authors present during the sessions.
